Next to a LOC DIPA a Train Hopper (also called train surfing, train hitching or, in parts of the United States, catching out) is a person riding on the outside of a train or another rail transport. It's a very dangerous way of transportation so we at LOC do not recommend it, however we do recommend passengers to sit back in coach or first class and enjoy our DIPA

Tap. Leeds International Beer festival. Very hazy, thick as a bag, in fact, gold. Film and bubbles of white head. Decent looker. Nose has fresh, juicy mandarin hop. Lots of pine needle and woody sap. Fairly basic, but itβs loaded with hops. Taste is sappy, juicy bitter. Sticky lips sweetness. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Sappy bitter finish. Overall itβs piny and resinous, but clean and easy drinking.

On tap at GBBF 2016, Olympia, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a decent white head on top. Rich hoppy, malty, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes pretty much the same, hoppy, malty, tropical fruit, quite sweet and rich. Nice DIPA.

Bottle. Orange golden pour. Aroma of grapefruit, toffee, yeast and pine. Sweet bitter taste of pine, toffee grapefruit, yeast, malt and a dry bitter finish. Weird beer, needs to be more clean and hoppy to be a good west coast dipa.

Amarillo, Mosaic and Citra hops. Very hazy amber beer, big pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, mildly dry and has good fine carbonation. Fluffy light malts, lovely light level of creamy sweetness. Good hop spice. Tangerine marmalade. Mild pine. Great tropical fruits, mango led but with papaya and pineapple emerging. Light semi dry finish. Spicy hop linger. Delightful lip smacking DIPA.

Bottle from Drank van de Meisjes, BB 2 2018, small sample because 75% of the bottle was lost against the ceiling, you bloody idiots. Hazy golden color, big soapy head. Decent hoppy aroma, tropical fruit, bit pineapple, melon. Soft fruity bitterness, bit sharp. Guess this had potential, but I had a horrible bottle. Note to self: always open bottles from small Dutch breweries near the kitchen sink. Grrr.

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear dark orange to reddish color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, some hops. Nothing at this point really pointing towards a double IPA imo. Taste malts, hops, lightly fruity, lightly sticky hops, lightly resinous and a nice mix between malt bitter and hop bitter. Medium body, suitable quite soft carbonation. In the end: not a bad beer at all and a decent DIPA.
