Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours reddish black with a small mocha head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, toffee, green chilli, dark roast coffee, milk chocolate, moist soil and cocoa syrup. Taste is very sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is round, cloying sweet, tiny astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, toffee, caramel, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, moist soil, chocage syrup and alcohol. Very sweet and not much more. Needs another level which should mostly come from the roast.

Keg at CBC Brixton - London. Pours pily black with a small tan head. Doughy dark malts in the nose, milk chocolate, milky coffee. Heavy sweet flavor, extremely syrupy, some gooey chocolate, sugared coffee. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with soft carbonation. Warming finish, outrageously sugary and syrupy, some chocolate, raspberry, minimal bitterness. Maybe the sweetest beer I have ever had. No balance whatsoever. Difficult to drink more than a few sips.
