With a slightly hazey, straw colored body and a thick plume of white head, this deliciously Hoppy Wheat Ale will leave you craving another. A balanced aroma featuring peppery wheat aspects and fruity esters, prepares you for the mild hop bitterness that stands up against the chewy grain flavor from the rich imported malts.

Pale with a thin head. Fruity, berryish hop character. Light body, modest bitterness (low 20s?) and a malty-fruity accent. Mild, probably would be refreshing but I guess I’d like a bit of hop bite with this.

4oz pour at Churchkey DC pours a clear gold with some sticky, sudsy white head. Nose has lots of perfume, grass, mild apricot, mild pear, mild straw. Flavor has more everything, more frangrant/spicy wheat, clove, bubblegum, more lemon, soap too. Soapy, creamy finish.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Arlington, VA tap: Pours golden with a white head. Very nice hoppy aroma, with some citrus and herbs. Nice fresh hoppy taste. Not so much bitter as tangy. Malt backbone is really light and the hops steal the show here in a very nice and pleasant way.

On tap at the vintage. So, today everythings hoppy? No? looks like pale lager. Typical newer b/o smelling thing, like most newer hops. A little co2 and the slight b/o thing carries over to the taste. Some dull hop biterness and a dull lemon thing as well on the palate. Perhaps a little better than a typical ipa thing, at least from a lager lover’s point of view.

Draft@ Roanoke VA Rare Beer Festival 2014: Brett and lemon zest nose. Hazy yellow, medium head. Tastes as it smells, light body. Solid bitterness. Crisp and refreshing. NOTE: This was poured at a festival from a box that was also pouring Victory’s D’town BIPA. I think the two lines may have been mismarked. Will re-rate.
