Bottle @sbwf15. Pours black with a thin brown head. Plum liqueur, almonds, sweetness, raisiny notes in aroma. Flavor has caramelized sugar, raisins, malt, English hops. Loong, woody, mild boozy finish. Awesome.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma and taste of hops, wood, licorice, some caramel and some chocolate. The finish was bitter. Nicely blanced, a tasty one.

No-Li Defacto, bottle 0619 shared by Mick - thanks! 9% a deep brown with a beige head. The aroma is savoury licorice and oak. Medium bodied with a really soft mouthfeel. The taste is oaky bitter chocolate and light green hoppiness in the finish. Superbly balanced.

Red waxed-dipped bomber, signed. Mine says Defacto 1594. I’m not sure what 1827 or 1594 signify, unless they’re bottle numbers. Aroma is strong in wood (smells like freshly chopped wood), caramel, vanilla, coconut, raisin, cinnamon, whiskey. Pours black with brown edges with a medium tan head with good retention; laces a little. Taste is bittersweet, roasty, chocolaty, along with all other aroma descriptors. Body is a little thinner than expected. A little harsh, but it tastes pretty good.

Bomber. Interesting, a stout blended in with an IPA, both barrel aged. Pours a dark mahogany color with a medium beige head. A big nose, vanilla, sandalwood, some chocolate. The flavor is mostly dusty chocolate and big vanilla whiskey, some light tropical elements try to get in. More like a barrel aged stout. Some green resin, but more chocolate and ash. Smooth. Very nice.
