12 oz. can. Dark, ruby brown color, with a small, dense, tan head. Nose is milk chocolate and light coffee, pecans, and syrup. Sweet and malty flavor, with a mild, pleasant bitterness. Medium body, grainy, and a bit sharp. This is a nice, full bodied, and well made brown ale. Nothing too crazy, but solid and tasty.

This beer is a brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and slight hops. Light to medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Shaker pint draft at The Red Onion in Aspen, Colorado. The pour is a hazed brown light copper with a one inch tan head. The aroma is nut, lightly roasted malt and a soft sweetness caramel. The taste is a clean balance of the soft roast malt, hazelnut, and a touch of lingering sweetness from the caramel. The palate is light to medium bodied, active natural carbonation and the lightly sweet finish. Clean and easy drinking.
