Keg at Mill Street, Ottawa. Hazy mahogany colour, creamy head. Aroma of prunes and chipotle. Mid sweet with medium-full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Toffee, marzipan, raisins and smoked chili. Warming finish with low bitterness and very mild chili heat. Interesting.

A reddish brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with dark fruits and chocolate, vanilla, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light chocolate, light Chipotle burn, dark fruits, well done. On tap at Ottawa location.

Enjoyed at the Ottawa Brewpub. Pours a clean dark copper colour with a small beige head and minimal lacing. Pretty sure this is not with nitro (no creamy head, not much retention). Chocolate malt nose with coffee cutting the sweetness. Fruity notes eventually come out, like dates, and even some caramel. Silky mouthfeel with no burning at all from the alcohol. Mild tasting with some watery chocolate, also with some prunes and hints of coffee. Light heat comes on the palate in the finish. A nice dark fruit and chocolate brew that goes down well, with that little warming feel from the chipotle.
