Brewery draught, 7/6/24. Almost a hi t of perfume/spice. Juicy, deep caramel and toffee with big base malts and a hint of earth. Buttery toffee with rich, rich malts, mineral and earth. Light spice, heavy mineral and rich malt lingering. Absolutely stunning flavors and malt textures.

Keg at Queen City, Burlington. Clear pale amber, small head. Fruity bready nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Bready malt, slightly caramelized with a whiff of smoke. Mid bitter finish. True to style and pretty good, even if more malt softness would be beneficial.

Treated as a steinbier, oh whoah, wait, what the hell is that? An ancient style that has escaped my knowledge. Well, I poured this into a becher pint glass, why, well, I have no clue, but I think I did taste lager yeast, close enough, here’s the rest.
The appearance was a hazy burnt amber to orange color with a quickly dissipating white head. Barely any lacing.
The smell started off with sweet caramel with subtle smoke sliding in underneath.
The taste copies the smell nicely bringing subtle dry mineral notes. Light bready-like lager flavor rides in nicely. Dry smoky to burnt caramel aftertaste. Quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionable sweet smooth dryness hitting my tongue.
Overall, I’d say this is a nice beer all around despite me not knowing anything about the style. I’d have again.

Draft sample at the brew pub. Amber color liquid with very little head. Aroma has subtle smoke with toffee and caramel candies. Very mild toffee body with a very mild yeast aftertaste. I’m happy the smoke is mild. If you like smoke but don’t want a full blown campfire, this is a decent brew
