Our saison balances the fruitiness produced by the Belgian yeast with the spiciness of saaz hops. In the newer versions of the recipe, we transitioned to a more Belgian traditional Saison, that brings full flavour and a whole lot more fruity aromas

It’s mostly true to style. Brett Funky for sure. Rounded body but a dryish finish. Good example. Schouskjelleren Oslo.

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo on 6th September 2019. Hazy amber with shallow loose off-white foam and spot lacing. Yeasty, malty aroma with hints of nuttiness. Spicy and fruity in-mouth, and an intensely nutty finish zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Minimal foam and clouded copper. Soft aromatic graham cracker with hints of Belgian yeast. Flavour is yeasty malty graham cracker with hints of unemployed Somalis on Nordic benefits. Just allright. Some would like this more than others.

Bottled, from Vinmonopolet, Ås. Cloudy amber, mid sized head. Marmelade orange and marzipan up front. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Evident Belgo-yeast character, solid malt backbone, some marmelade. Lightly peppery finish with medium bitterness. Solid stuff.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, yeast, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

500 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 7%. Cloudy golden brown colour, moderate white head. Interesting and unusual aroma, hints of wild berries, spices, basement, wine vinegar. The flavour is spicy and herbal but not sour, rather on the dry side. Some fruit. Peppery and hoppy finish. *Also sampled on tap at Cirkus, Stavanger. Same score.
