Pour une bière anniversaire, cette IPA est plutôt réalisée car cela est loin d'être la généralité. Construite autour d'une amertume racée et sèche, cette IPA n'en n'oublie pas pour autant les arômes avec une belle alliance et complexité d'agrumes (notamment pamplemousse), de fleurs, de résineux et de fruits exotiques. Avec Cascade, Vic Secret et Cashemere en complément d'Amarillo, je m'attendais d'ailleurs une présence de fruits exotiques plus importantes. Présence en bouche et longueur sont quant à elles bonnes pour le genre avec un alcool à 7 % très efficace. En verre, nous avons un blond voilé surmonté d'une fine mousse. Le nez est sur les agrumes, les fleurs, les fruits exotiques et le résineux avec une belle amertume enrobant ces arômes. L'amertume est vive et saillante dès l'attaque, sans être agressive toutefois car accompagnée par une base douce sur le biscuit et la pêche. Pamplemousse et résineux complètent les arômes. A noter tout de même une effervescence que je trouve légèrement perturbante à ce stade sans que cela ne vienne nuire par la suite. La deuxième bouche se complexifie avec notamment l'apparition de fruits exotiques avec également une base maltée enrobant un peu plus l'amertume. L'arrière bouche est sur une amertume vive et des arômes de pamplemousse et de résineux. Le final reste sur cette amertume racée, et qui, avec la maltée disparaissant devient sèche laissant une certaine astringence en bouche. Une bonne IPA rock'n roll comme je les aime.

Flaska från hopt.se. Grumlig ljusgult ska med lågt krämigt skum. Tropisk frukt, särskilt ananas, tallskott, citrus. Lättdrucken, bra balans. Bra NEIPA.

Draught (Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm) - Hazy orange in colour. Mango, orange, peach and lychees in the aroma. Hoppy and fruity taste with orange, mango, peach, pine and grapefruit.

200ml draught at Ardbeg Embassy. A filmy white surface, unclear golden body, spotty lacing down the glass. Fruity aromas, orange, grapefruit and peaches. Fresh citrus hoppy flavour, nice mix of orange and grapefruit. Mid-dry fruity bitterness to the finish. Fine bodied. Smoothly refreshing. (Stockholm 29.07.2018).

Keg at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Murky yellow, brief creamy head. Huge guava aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded, almost viscous mouthfeel. Wheat flour and guava, light notes of saccharine. Fairly low bitterness. Muddled and murky, the hops don't shine, the body is not up to par. A disappointment.

Color amarillo turbio, aromas frutales, sabor frutal, ligeramente resinoso, final amargo, cuerpo medio

Caña en el Lúpulo Feroz 09.. 06..2018. (r10). Color amarillento turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores frescos afrutados tropicales secos con herbales y florales. Ligeras levaduras y recuerdos de lactosas. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo seco y ligeramente amargo herbáceo al final. Buena.

33cl bottle
Hazy pale golden color, white head with short retention. Aroma with notes of tropical fruits, mainly pine apple but also some pear, slightly citrus. Flavor with a moderate bitterness, pear and citrus and mostly present, some herbal. Byttery final with light milky mouthfeel.
