Bottle at home. Three year old. Pours a dark reddish brown colour and a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice, vanilla and some ammonia and chili. Flavour of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and roasted malt. The chili is lingering in the background. Has sliky mouth feel, medium to heavy body and a light to medium bitterness. A nice stout with lots of chocolate and chili background.

Bottled, from Vinmonopolet. Near black, minimal head. Aroma of brown sugar and tobacco. Very sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Milk chocolate, brown sugar, chili and tobacco. Some chili and dextrose in the finish. Very slight chili heat.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a light, beige head. Nice aroma of dark, light roasted malt, some liquorice and chocolate. Flavor is sweet, dark, light roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, fruit, spices, hint of chili and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body, pleasant aftertaste. All in all a pretty balanced and tasty beer without overdoing anything. Pleasent one.

Bottle. Thx a lot Bo! A very dark brown beer with a reddish hue, topped by a small, beige head. Lightly herbal nose with bonfire, roasted malts and some coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma. It’s full-bodied, smooth and lightly warming on the palate, more chili burn than alcohol burn, still not much of any of them. Smooth. Roasted malts, dark bread, grass and a herbal touch in the flavor, and a lasting finish. Not a bad one in any way, but I’d sure wish for more chili. The level of chili in this one is sort of like when you drink the chili infused beer but not really recognize the chili until after when you get home after an awful kebab with too much hot sauce, take a leak, go to bed and sleep for an hour.... and then wake up because you have to take another leak and burp a bit, and then some chili burn gets refluxed. Well, I don’t really care, it’s a decent beer even with a very low level of chili burn. 160504

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Fellesinnkjøp med Rune. Delt på Nerstranda 5 Jan 16. Ultramørk amber. Lysebrunt skum. Litt søt fruktaroma. Smaken lett karamell. Smaken blir stikkende syrlig etter hvert. Et eller annet krydder? Egentlig et ok koseøl.
