Our black IPA stands out from its colour and the smooth, deep aromas, which are induced by the addition of roasted malt. At first, this BIPA reminds you of coffee and then in the aftertaste the bitter-fruity hops aromas hit your palate. This hybrid is a very mild version of a dark ale and an IPA and delivers the best of both beers to bring you a unique IPA experience.

dark brown colour with ruby hue, one inch of creamy beige-ish ecru head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of soy sauce, leather, roasted sunflower seeds, rye bread, cocoa powder and pine resiny notes; taste is dominated by burnt bitterness with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; good one

Huge, towering ultra-dense & stable tan head over deep red-shot brown beer. Lots of roast, roasted malts, dry hops, plywood, chocolate. Quite dry, cacaopowder, plywood, wet cardboard. Lots of melanoidin-rich malts. Some resin as sign from the hops. Warming up, black cardamome at last. Very good carbonation, medium bodied, bit lean MF. Not the best of black IPA's by a long stretch. Thanks to Joren for bringing!

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Tipple, 22/08/19. Murky chestnut brown with a moderate off white cap. Nose is light pine, charr, hint of spice, toffee. Taste comprises dried fruits, pine needle, dusty hops, black peppery spice, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with leafy hop bitterness. Ok CDA.

On tap at The Alehouse - Palmhof, pours a disgustingly filthy diarrhea brown with a small beige head. Aroma is not much more promising, with earthy hops, harsh bitterness, and yeast. Flavour is harsh and chaotic, with lots of yeast, harsh bitterness, yeuch. This has to be messed up. Proper black IPAs do not look like this. Crap.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Mr. Tipple. Pours hazy brown with a creamy, tan head. Pretty good beer, some toasted malts, pine, light cocoa, earth, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced at the conclusion. Very nice.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to Tips. Hazy brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth softish palate. Decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, a little cream and a little earth. Smooth pine. Trace of woody ripe citrus. Quite drinkable but lacks a punch.
