Cascade Blackberry Ale spends over 6 months of lactic fermentaion and aging in small oak barrels. This "Belgian Flanders Style Red Ale" is refermented with fresh whole Northwest Blackberries and then hand bottled. Cascade Blackberry Ale is bottle fermented and should be refrigerated or stored at cellar temp and served at 45-50 degrees.

¤6 papsø blindtasting. Clear brown, thick small light brown head. aroma is slightly sour, and caramelly. flavor is slightly sour, citrus,very well balanced, this is a very nice brew.

Bottle pours out a brown with a little red high topped with a small bubble head. Aroma of light berries and a little wood. Tast more of the light berrie and some tartness. This was a little to bubbley for me. Have to say one of my least favorate Cascade Sours.

From bottle, Papsoes blindtasting #6. Pours murky brown with a small tan head. Dry wooden, acetone and cherry aroma. Subdued sweet, malty and citric flavoured. Dry and citric to vague acidic flavoured finish. Lasting vague fruity finish.

Bottle shared by GodOfThunder. Pours cloudy purple color with a lavender head. Oaky, blackberry aroma. Sweet and tart blackberry flavor with oak and earthiness. Light to medium body with effervescent carbonation. Very interesting and good.

Purpley brown. Light pink tinged tan head. Hint of blackberries in the nose. Sweet and sour berries with a fairly good acidity. Fruity finish. I enjoyed this alot.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a huge, rocky, light brown head that leaves good lacing covering a very dark, hazy purple-brown body. Aroma of blackberry syrup, blackberry seeds, fruit jam and grapes. Taste is a bit vinous with grape, blackberry, silt and leather. Lively bubbles with a dry mouthfeel.

750 ml bottle courtesy of Ken and Rich at Über. Dark and cloudy maroon with pale head. Aroma of fruit and malt. Full bodied, sour with background of sweetish blackberries. Finish of oak and slight hoppiness with a bit of must.

Rating #1100. 750 ml waxed and capped bottle purchased mail order directly from the brewery. Pour is purple, black, ruby - cloudy. One inch tan head head falls with nice lacing. Pretty in the glass. Taste is earthy, tart blueberry, some sweetness maltiness. All the flavors are well integrated with nothing jumping out of place. Palate is mouth coating, with a pronounced bright bitterness to the finish. Another delicious beer from Cascade. Thanks for doing mail order Art and Ron!

Thanks to beastiefan2k - medium purple beer, with a tan lace - aroma of chocolate, raspberry, earthy character (but not in a good way) - medium tart up front, with sour, spoiled fruit flavors - some chocolate underneath, but more like dry cocoa (no real sweetness) - root plant character throughout - bizarre.

From hannont. It pours nice enough when it comes to colorful fruits, a dark purple color with a dark pink hued small head. Aroma is a leafy berry, more like the green leaves at the base of the berry than actual berry. Some sweet-less jam in there as well. Taste loses the vegetal (good), and there is a hint of tartness present and there is just a little bit of tickling acidity. Its rather nice, full mouthfeel ands to the heft of the beer. Get rid of the "green" from the nose and sour it up a bit more and you got a real winner here.
