Inspired by London's most famous beer style, Fuller's imperial-strength take on this 19th-century favourite. With a complex malt make-up, this beer offers the smoky, mocha flavours of our classic London Porter. The addition of black treacle to the brew brings with it a sumptuous layer of velvety caramel, which nicely offsets the hop bitterness. This Limited edition beer is brewed to mature, with its flavours developing over time. Bottle conditioned, a natural sediment will form - so store upright and pour carefully.

Bottle at home. Deep brown pour, thick, creamy off-white head. Nose is molasses, nuts, dried fruits, sweet booze. Taste is nutty, boozy, fruity sweetness, with a long sweet finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter wonderful flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle at BBT 9/2023. BBD 9/2029. Med-full body, medium carbonation. Fully malty, with very nice big complexity of rather subtle flavours. There is pretty intense chocolate, moderate cocoa, med-light coffee, light deep roast. Light caramel, biscuity, hints of toffee and nuts. Does not blow your mind with intensity, rather a sophisticated sipper with very good balance of classic flavours. Very good.

BBT 09/2023. Dark brown color with beige head. Very dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of chocolate, dark malt, dark chocolate, caramel. Taste is very rich, liquid chocolate, dark malt, vanilla, light caramel. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Nice beer.

Sample (thanks a lot fonefan!). More or less pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate and some syrupy tones with mild alcohol. Flavour is liquorice, some toasted, smoky wooden tones with mild sweet syrupy tones with a bit of tobaccoish tones. Kind of sweet, but very ashy and roasted aftertaste.

Fuller's Imperial Porter, Flasche als Geschenk von Kristina. - Pechschwarz, dunkelbeigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase fettes aber rundes Röstmalz mit schwerer Süße und Anklängen an Hustensirup, aufgelockert von feiner obergäriger Frucht, kandierter Orange und eleganter Hopfung. - Antrunk sämig röstmalzig mit massiver doch fein ausbalancierter Karamelsüße, Nougat, Mokkabohnen, Lakritz und Anklängen an Pflaumenmus. Feine orangenfruchtige und hopfenwürzige Herbe. Milder rezent, mastig, leise likörartiger Alkohol. Im Abgang feine Bitterschokolade und dezente, zart holzige Hopfenherbe. - Enorm wuchtiges, fett röstmalziges aber auch hinreichend komplexes Porter. Prima! (9.4.2023.)

Meine 2.500, optisch schwarz wie die Nacht, leicht bräunlicher Schaum. In der Nase leicht röstig, Zartbitterschokolade. Im Trunk sehr würzig, Branntwein-Schokobohnen, Schokolade, dezente Röstnoten, bittersüß, gefährlich gut trinkbar, sehr lecker.
