A hoppy red ale, a smash up between zesty, piney hops and sweet caramel malts. Big Hop Red is late and dry hopped with lots of American aroma varieties; Cascade, Chinook and Equinox as well as Citra and Magnum. The hops offer pine and resin on the nose with lots of fruity citrus, pine and resin in the flavour which is finely balanced by caramel and biscuit malt notes.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear amber body with a beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of steel and caramel. Flavour of earth and weak tea. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. A bit too sharp for me to love it.

Tap. Hazy, but not completely opaque amber-brown color with creamy beige head. Aroma is berries, caramel, toffee, a bit earthy hops as well. Taste is resinous, big toffee, chocolate, rather sweet. Foamy mouthfeel with high carbonation, a bit dusty. Decent, but a bit overcarbed.

Can at Siris About Beerstyles tasting session 'IPA V2". Pours dark, unclear reddish brown. Small to no white head. Smell is caramelly, mild toast, tad hoppy ( spice style hops ) Taste is big on caramel, relatively low bitterness, yet it does build up a bit, but it mostly outdone by the caramel. hoparoma is there, tad floral, tad spicy. Medium body, medium carbo. Not bad.

Clear red amber appearance. Aroma and flavour remind me of West Coast Red IPA's with some caramelised malt sugars and delicate floral hops.

Can.
