Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 26D, adapted: 2018 vintage). Bottle 75 cl - Batch 18-633 (BB: 12/2023) AROMA: medium alcohol aroma with a vinous, Madeira-like character. Medium-low malt background (caramel), slight roasted bread-crust and dried figs. APPEARANCE: very dark amber body and clear with slight orange highlights. medium-high tanned head, beady, with good retention. lace formation. TASTE: medium-low mellow malt flavor with slight caramel, slight toasted bread crust, with just a touch of sweetness. medium-low bitterness with a an almost dry and slight caramelly finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with medium-low carbonation. smooth low alcohol warming. OVERALL: a more easy-drinkable and smooth aged version of a well known Trappist beer.

Traditional look. Slightly cloudy deep chestnut color, huge cream-colored foam. Great scent. Raisins, tiny hops, tiny roasted malt. Test card. Belgianly sweet, raisins. Tiny sour fruity aftertaste. Carbonation hit. High alcohol can hardly be felt. Afterwards, of course, yes :) Delicious dessert beer.

Tradicionális küllem. Kissé zavaros mély gesztenye szín, hatalmas krémszínű hab. Remek illat. Mazsolás, pici komló, pici pörkölt maláta. Testes korty. Belgásan édeskés, mazsolás. Pici savanykás gyümölcsös mellékíz. Szénsavasság eltalálva. A magas alkoholt alig érezni. Utólag persze igen :) Finom desszert sör.
