Power tasting at Phill's, bottle
Black colour. Nice aroma of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. Sweet, chocolate, it's quite rich, roasted hazelnuts, coconut, touch of vanilla, and with warming wave in the finish.
Excellent.

500ml (thx, Oleksandr Ch.!) on Phill's deck. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, bourbon, fruitiness. Taste: along the same lines, probably regular MS is the base for this beer. Overall: good.

Jet black with a small brown head. Boozy bourbon and dark roasty chocolate notes. Bourbon and light roast with chocolate.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Nose is intense, with loads of bourbon, whiskey, caramel and a bit of dark fruit. Flavour is extremely thick, with intense whiskey and bourbon barrel character, caramel, some roast, and a thick syrupy palate. Gently sweet, certainly nowhere close to cloying, with an oily finish. Perhaps it doesn't have the depth of Midnight Still, but it's a wonderfully, syrupy, barrel-heavy impie. Excellent.

Dark, inky, big thick dark fruit and black sugars on the nose. Rich, thick, smoked, deep molasses and raisins, so rich, syrupy, intense. There’s a ton of barrel in here, but it’s so soft and smooth. Really just fantastic stuff, even if the ancient grain and smoke elements are a little lost. But that’s a bit of a technical quibble because tasted blind this would be flat out amazing.
