50cl bottle from JefVerstraete, many thanks! Euro Swap 2/2020. Poured brown in color with a thin white head. Medicinal, Jägermeister herbal nose and flavor. Caramel, some plummy notes, mild wood. Oh so smooth, near full bodied. Fairly sweet, but suits nicely in here. Great!

500ml bottle, thanks to JerVerstraete for this! Pours deep brown, sparse pale tan head atop. Aroma bears a light oak-tinged sweetness that continues to taste. Light and a touch thin on the palate, gentle almost smoky oak notes introduce themselves occasionally, alongside a very light toffee malt sweetness. It's a strong ale in a traditional sense, easy-drinking and light-bodied, but perhaps a little thin for me.

Bottle at a tasting. Rather thin, med-high carbonation. Aroma does not betray much, but the taste shows serious flaws. Assertive medicine, kind of like cough syrup - perfumey, flowery, yet all the same a flaw. Slightly soapy too. Not entirely bad, still kind of enjoyable, but not by me.

Bottle at tasting, thanks Gurthnar. Malty aroma and taste, herbal notes, medicinal notes, light sour notes, light to medium bitter. Medium body, malty bitter finish with alcohol notes. Average.

Huge thanks to JefVerstraete for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Fruity malty aroma. Starts dry-malty, roasty, light bitter. Some mild hints of caramel. Finish well balanced, soft-malty, still light roasty. Not bad.

Bottle, thanks JefVerstraete! Hazy deep chestnut with a claret shine, creamy brown head. Berry, sirup, cinnamon, cardemom and all the complex sugars you would like in the aroma. Medium dry, foamy, anise/fennel, sugared licorice, clove, bouquet garni, orangepeel, a hint umami, pleasant in its spices.

Bottle, many thanks JefVerstraete! Brown color with ruby highlight and a beige head. Aroma is anise, star anise, cloves, thyme, chocolate, christmasy! Taste is the same, lots of christmas spices, mint, liquorice, well-balanced. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very nice Christmasy brew that doesn't have to hide against the great examples from Belgium!
