Bottle. Dark brown with garnet, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, wine, caramel, dried fruits, dried fruits, vanilla. Taste: caramel malt, dried fruits, vanilla, a little bourbon, a little bitterness, a bit unbalanced.

Tap at Ale Bar. Quite complex, yet quite subtle. Full body, moderate carbonation. Chocolatey, cocoa, some deep roast, subtle wood and hint of bourbon - though I probably could not pick apart the BA influence by myself. Slightly warming. Good one though.

Tap at Once Upon A Beer. Almost pitch black body with a beige off white head. Distinct, likable aroma likely coming from the conditioning - banana-like going towards whiskey, light cloves and maltiness. Taste... again the banana going towards whiskey, but over a slightly messy backbone, yeasty... a slightly flawed base beer given a second lease on life by interesting conditioning. Well, a nicely daring first beer, so extra 0.1 because of that, but in my opinion, it doesn't deserve much more.
