Dark ale with a higher concentration of roasted malts, which create tastes and aromas of coffee or dark chocolate. This taste is accompanied with experimental hops that give the beer vanilla, bourbon and coconut tones. After drinking the beer has a roasted and bitter finish.

Bottle 0.75l. Clear, red to brown colored. AROMA- toasted malts, bread crusts, nuts, chocolate, spicy and floral hops. FLAVOR- neutral, quite bitter finish, leavy, floral and spicy hops, toasted malts, chocolate, nuts, touch of coffee. Medium bodied. Good.

Bottle at Base Camp. Almost black dark dark red-brown body, small off white head. Lean, clean aroma showing immediately what this is going for - (dark) malt touches, herbal, spicy hoppiness. Taste... hm, more of the same, simple maltiness and the herbal-piney hoppiness, lean, with neither the malts or the hops showing much of an initiative, the end result staying in between the two, woody touches show up too. Depite a pretty exciting hop list on paper, this does well not to outright brand itself as an Black IPA - Black Ale is indeed closer to the goal. The finish is, however, demonstrating a solid bitterness. Not particularly thrilled by it overall, but a good beer.
