0.5L can, pours a clear bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is full of caramel, bready malt, and a bit of herbaceous character. Flavour is drier, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and fresh herbaceous notes. Bready, toasted caramel on the finish. Pleasant enough but nothing special.

Draught (Nalevarna, Prague) - Copper red in colour with a foamy head. Grainy and slightly biscuity and toasted aroma with notes of dried fruit and cherry. The taste is malty with a moderate sweetness and notes of rye bread, biscuity malt and sultanas.

Tap at the Nalevarna. Coppery-amber body, off white head - thick. Dry aroma, grain, sulfur, sweetish maltiness, orange, hm, messy as it generally is with Hostomice, but not entirely unappealing after a while. Sweetish, smooth, full taste, lovely caramelly maltiness, flowery and herbal touches, light bitterish herbal finish. Very, very well rounded and quite drinkable, easily beating most German examples I've had.
