The CHOCKABLOCK is a collab with our friends, Siren Brew Co, a great brewery from the UK. This hazy IPA is full of oats & wheat that give a creamy mouthfeel, alongside a huge double dry-hop with Mosaic, Simcoe, Cascade, Ekuanot et Amarillo Cryo hops, bringing all the exotic fruits to the yard!

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers Oostakker, nr Ghent, Belgium, consumed at Lenggrieser Mountain Camping, Lenggries, Bavaria, Germany Saturday 27th July 2019. Pours hazy gold with a white head, a touch of pineapple, soft with a zippy edge as expected the bitterness is muted but I think it's a good beer.

Keg at Brussels Beer Project, Brussels, Belgium. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, mango, tropical fruit, some pineapple in there too, slightly sweet. Very nice indeed.

New England IPA by BBP in collaboration with Siren, tasted from tap at Dok Brewing Festival. Egg-white, intricately cobweb-lacing, bubbly, medium thick head, hazy 'yolk' yellow robe with khaki tinge. Aroma of ripe mango, lime juice, lychee, maracuja, mandarin peel, overripe pineapple. Fruity, mildly tropical with notes of mango, yellow kiwi and pineapple, sweetish with a strong, sharp carbonation effect - too much so for the intended style, in fact. Fluffy, doughy malt sweetish base underneath, long and very aromatic, very citric, lime-like hoppiness with tropical mango and pineapple aspects as well as a late, powdery, gently spicy bitterness. Very zesty and refreshing, but a bit lacking in creaminess and a bit overcarbonated for a true New England IPA - though I personally do not care too much about such style prescriptions. So, in all: works fine for me.

Taste: bit sweet and sugary, fruity, soft bitterness, grapefruit. Aftertaste: bitter, bit resinous, fruity, dank hops, lovely!

Hazy, but not as juicy as the style prescribes…
