Good dense cream head with a reddish-foxy hue, irregular, over pitch black beer. Some shards of lace; end of bottle solid yeast. Sharpish nose with caramel, chocolate, dark green leaves, dark bread, melanoidins. Pretty dry. Liquorice galore, drop . Some black chocolate, again dry despite all the malt force. Melanoidin-rich. Finish has lots of roasted malts, and gets a lot sweeter, almost syrupy, dried figs. Medium carbonation. Very slick, viscous. Gives the impression of very big body, probably more than really is the case. Not much aftertaste. It should have had all the ingeredients, yet cruelly misses character. Difficult to say what is failing.

Black with beige airy froth. Aroma has caramel, roast, light licorice notes. Sweet flavour, caramely, sugary, syrupy, light yeasty notes. Some dried fruit. More like a bsa than a stout.

Bottle @ Elie's place. Many thanks! Dark brown colour, thin layer of beige foam, doesn't stay long. Medium carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, liquorice, dried fruit. More towards a strong ale than an stout. Alcohol very well hidden.

At Winter Beer Fest 2017, Waregem. Shared with Anke!
Hazy black with a lasting, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, ripe banana, coffee, caramel and hops. It tastes medium malty & caramel-like sweet and light roasted bitter; slightly alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Very good; palate could have been stronger.
