A 10.2% American Barleywine that was brewed with a simple malt bill of just British Chevalier base malt. A slow boil (over 8 hours) helped develop this beer’s unique flavor and dark ruby color. It was then hopped with Cascade and Chinook, and dry-hopped with Simcoe, Citra, El Dorado and Waimea. Vengeful Heart is a classic American Barleywine that balances strong hop flavor with notes of dark fruits, figs and toffee.

Bottle shared at THT July. Murky dark amber with off white head. Orange, sweet malts, lots of fruity hops with grapefruit and lime, grassy, caramel, light toffee. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied. Almost like an imperial IPA with some extra nice malts. Good stuff.

6 3 8 3 15Bottle shared at THT July. Very hazy orange brown with a cream colored head. Aroma of malt, caramel, damp, light fart, eggy notes and raisins. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

THT July, outside of Kwartje. Murky amber with cream head. Sweet barley and rye malts, oats, caramel, honey, hops, fruity, white raisans. Big sweet moderate bitter. Bottle shared at the July THT. Hazy bright dark orange with a light tan head. Notes of dried fruit, plums, raspberry jam, nice bitter and fruity hops. Full body, smooth texture, bitter-sweet finish. 750ml bottle pours a dark amber with some sudsy, tan head. Nose has orange peel, soap, mild pine, honey comb. Flavor is sweet with candy and honey, mild soap and pine, a little candied orange peel. Finishes sticky.

Bottle. Pours a murky brown copper color with a large white head. A big fruity nose, toffee, brown sugar. The flavor is toast, big sweet malts, pine and citrus hops, bitterness from the hops, a sweet sugary toffee and earthy malt base. Very smooth, awesome BW.
