Hornecker Spezial, Flasche von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Dunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase zart säuerliches Vollkornbrot, dunkles Malz und blasse herbale Hopfung, ein wenig schmalspurig. - Antrunk schlank dunkelmalzig mit Bayrisch Blockmalz und allmählich sich steigernder Röstmalzigkeit mit schwarzer Brotkruste, zarter Asche und kaltem Kaffee von fein säuerlicher Süße. Milde aber ausreichende herbale Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang nicht zu knappe Röstmalzbittere. - Ungewöhnliches Märzen: fängt etwas dünn an und steigert sich erst allmählich zu vollmundiger Röstmalzsüße und -bittere (Schieder/Forster). Eigenwillig und probierenswert! (4.1.2022.)

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a mid-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Slightly ashy and bready cara-malty aroma with notes of vegetables. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly ashy cara-malty taste with notes of cardboard and vegetables; bitter-sweet, quite dull finish. Not very harmonic. 15.I.14

Bottle: Clear, visible carbonation, very deep golden to light amber coloured, fruity-malty nose with a metallic tinge and a touch of burnt malt; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.5%; dryish malty and ashy finish. Just another mediocre brew from Hornecker…

Bottle. Pours a plae chesnut, low-ish head. Bready roast aroma, light oxidized notes. Chalky roasted base, light fruit, burned sugar, throaty herbal hops. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Slightly burned caramel aftertaste.

bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear chestnut colour, large beige head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with good flavours of caramel and toffee, also roaetd malts and raisins. Spicy hoppy background, especially in the lingering finish. A great beer from the Hallertau!

Wässrig-malziger Antrunk, wobei der malzige Ton mit der Zeit stärker wird, aber nie einen wirklich starken Status erreicht. Auch die etwas würzige Note bleibt auf einem schwachen Niveau, einzig die frische, aber ebenfalls schwache Hopfennote gefällt. Test vom 23.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,7,6,7,7 - 7,50
