330 ml. bottle @ Beerlovers Bar. I am sorry, I read some stuff on the website & I looked at the map, I just don’t get what the concept of this beer series is of which there will 30 iterations in total apparently. First one was bottled on 25-12-16. Very dark brown going to black, creamy tanned head. Nose is licorice, wine branches, herbal mocha, low wine syrup. Taste is herbal, grainy mocha, wine branches, chicory roots, herbal bitter licorice, wine grapes, herbal, bark. Quite Belgian in profile, bit all of the place, not the biggest fan of the huge licorice, chicory roots & wine grape syrup dominating, messy notes. Okay as an average Belgian Strong Ale. They clearly put a lot of time in the website, concept etc. if only it was easier to understand.

At the launch event of the Series. Thnx Jef !!! Pours dark brown, good white head. Smell has some spices, some malts. Taste is dark malts, creamy, coffee, complex. I’d even think there is palm Sugar in this. Bit sweet. very nice balance, perfect carbonation. Përhaps a bit ’safe’ start here, but for sure a nice start.
