Doesn’t stand up to german examples, but it is still pleasant and drinkable, just a bit thin. Beerhouse kiev

(Kiev 2016) 500 ml. draft @ Arena House. Sparkling hazy golden with a creamy white head. Nose is pure butter, impressively heavy on butter, sparkling water, lively, oily. Taste is pure oily butter, very intensively so & sparkling mineral water, little else. Body is sparkling water & butter. Almost impressive in some way but really not how things should be. Tastes like kit beer.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, yeasty banana nose. The taste is also quite yeasty and fruity with notes of overripe banana. Also some strange acidity near the end (later it turned out that all of their beers have that strange acidity). Why, I really don’t know.

Amber and cloudy. The aroma is mostly banana, with a fair bit of sugar. Mostly yeasty on the palate with light phenols. Dull weizen.

On tap at the Arena Beer House in Kiev, November 2008. (old notes) Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, banana and wheat. Quite spicy taste of banana and citrus. A drinkable beer, although a little on the thin side, aftertaste was short.

Small white head; hazy light orange body. Bananaish milky aroma with notes of flour. Taste is banana and citrus with a dry, citric aftertaste. Sharpish, spicy edge to it. A decent weizen, if not top class. (0.1l on tap.)
