Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing this bottle. Nice hazy amber color, with beige head. Thick body with caramel malt and spicy in taste.

Medizinischer Geruch, weihnachtliche Gewürze ohne Süße. The beer starts fresh, fruity, easy to drink, smooth but dark, spicy, fresh. Pepper, Christmas-spice, fresh. Smooth, fresh, not very bitter, spicy aftertaste.

Bottle. Danke Günther & Max! Cloudy orange amber, golden creamy head. Roasted sugar, honey, fruity and citric aroma. Zesty Opal on the tip of the tongue, raspberry pop-rocks, caramel and roast, candied oranges. Medium full body, solid, slightly sticky. Bready, roasted, light resinny finish.

11/11/12/11/9/11

(bottle, 75cl, purchased at the brewery boutique) Almost cloudy, dark amber colour with a beige and big foamy head. Delicately toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, as well as a present fruity touch of dark and red berries, accompanied by a vaguely herbal hoppy touch. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dark and delicately toasted malty taste with berry fruity notes and a discreetly spicy touch of anise seed; sweet malty and slightly sour-fruity finish (early signs of infection?) with a restrained level of bitterness. Disappointing by Moritz Fiege standards. A top-fermented specialty brew is rather strange for Moritz Fiege, they´d better stick to their Lager beers. What about a single hopped Bock/Doppelbock each year !? 22.XI.13

Bottle(0.75l): Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, quite creamy and pretty stable mid-sized off-white head, sweetish yeasty-fruity nose , caramel underneath, with -hard to believe (BBF 12/15)- sourish traces of infection; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, accompanied by a light acidity, harsh MF, medium bodied;faint chocolatey traces in the slightly sourish, but mainly bitter-fruity finish. A bargain: 0.75l at 14.95€! And an offence to my taste buds…
