Bottle split at Leightons, thanks to he, 28/11/14. Mahogany brown with a solid beige covering. that retains very well. Nose is spice, caramel, pecan nuts, sweet tones. Taste comprises malty licks, toffee, toasted brown sugar, nutty, light spice, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent offering, good balance, subtle flavours but they stand out.

Swing-top bottle shared at home with Colin - picked up from the brewery. Pours clear brown with a dense, creamy tan head. Lovely toasted brown bread in the nose, a bit of dough. Light-medium sweet flavor with lots more brown bread, some toffee, toasted sugars. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet and malty on the finish with further toffee character, toasty brown bread, minimal bitterness. For what it is, I’m a huge fan.

Runder, dunkel malziger Antrunk, mittelstark hopfig. Im Mittelteil deutlich schokoladig werdend, kaum bitter, nur zum Ende hin ist eine leichte Bitterkeit hintergründig vorhanden. Vollmundig, etwas zitronig, gut. 12/11/12/12//12
