Stayed at the brewpub (above the Ice Cream Parlour) on 1st Aug 2018 and tried all four of their beers on tap that evening. Lost/found the tasting notes while tidying the house during the virus lockdown on 11th Apr 2020, so added this for my own reference rather than for others to take note of: Unfiltered, well it was cloudy gold; white topping. Slight citrus leaning in both the nose and taste, surprised by that. Not great though!

Burgbräu Hell, Flasche vom Burgbräuhaus in Belzig. - Satt goldgelb, schwach trüb. - In der Nase mild brotig-süßliches helles Malz und sehr feiner, mild zitronig-kräuteriger Aromahopfen. - Antrunk frisch brotig-hellmalzig mit einer Spur Karamel. Frisch zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe, die etwas scharf ausfällt und in unerwartet schroffe Bittere übergeht. Milder rezent, hefig weich. Im Abgang kräftige, ranzige Bittere. - Etwas unrundes, dennoch liebenswertes Landbier. In Bayern hätte so etwas freilich keine Überlebenschance ...

Draught at the Xmas party. Lemon gold with a thin head. Aroma of bread and hops. Flavour is citrus hop with some bread. Carbonation is low
