Bottle bought @ Bierkompass. Pours tiny hazy golden with a very small fizzy offwhite head. Smell is tiny malty, slightly fruity and smokey with sourdough crackers, caramel, lemon juice, tart pears, smoked charcuteries, burnt wood, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, sour, tiny malty, fruity and smokey. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly dry, tart, tiny mouth-puckering and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and sour with sourdough bread, caramel, lemon juice, lime juice, unripe pears, yoghurt, smoked charcuteries, minerals and lemon zest. I didn’t expect to like this since I suspected the smoke and the pears would give it a very phenolic feel. Luckily for me my suspicions were wrong and this is actually a quite enjoyable fruited lichtenheiner. --- Beer merged from original tick of Abraxxxas Pear on 06 Feb 2016 at 21:45 - Score: 7. Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Hazy orange with small off-white head. Aroma is light smoke, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is smoked ham and malty/slightly tart pear. Unique, nice flavor, and enjoyable.

Bottle. Some pear, light smoke, crisply carbonized, very nice to drink. Quite dry despite a sweetish taste. Very bright color, almost water.

Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is light smoke, pears, some spicy yeasts. Taste is light smoke, some sweet fruitiness from the pears, fine-bubbled carbonation. Excellent drinkability, as we?re used from Freigeist.

Bottle at Churchkey, split between my Girlfriend and me. Poured a mostly clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma was subdued fruits - pear is pretty neutral, so yep. Smoke notes are present, but are pretty mild. Light tartness, but nothing over the top. Okay, but I’d rather have the Apple Abraxxxas again.

Bottle: Slightly hazy amber with a small, off-white head. Light smoky ham and pear aroma. Taste is pear.......like a syrup......mild fruity smoked wood. A light bit of salt and a lot of tart-sweet. Quite enjoyable.
