750ml bottle. Unclear sunset amber with a few wisps of white head that are soon gone. Aroma: shame I can read the fruit blend, but it’s obviously cherries and something else - I guess the blackberries fatten and add bracken, the goosegogs acidity and a mellow juiciness. But neither are obvious (not any any means a criticism). And after a while nor are the cherries. Spicy funk, almonds and a lovely tired woodiness. Slight feral green twiggy/ shoe polish note that is OK but suggests problems to come (wrongly, it turns out). A fair bit of body. Low carbonation. Lovely brooding autumnal flavours with damp hay, decaying wood, mellow berries; perked up by zingy gooseberry acidity, ripe cherries, spices. Finish is long and fades towards gentle fruit that you almost forget how punchily sour it starts. Very beautiful.

Orangish color, quickly diminishing white head. Aroma has notes of vinegar, yeast and berries. Flavor is funky, very fruity, sourish with cherries and some wood. Strong sourness in the aftertaste with fruity mouthfeel.

750 shared by Marcus. Pours hazy orange/cherry mix with little if any head. Aroma is rathe sour mixed fruit. Med body. Flavor is smooth, mildly sour mixed fruit, but the cherry stands out of the mix. With time the sour cherry predominates. Very good stuff indeed.

This was definitely an oude version. 0,75 bottle at Mad for Beer pub in Rome - Italy, together with mortlach. Pours clear amber orange color, some bubbling phenomena on the surface. Nose: curry powder, green apples, stable. Mouth: mild tartness, very balanced sourness, white vinegar, fruity in a way. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At Maakun’s surprise birthday party. Clear rusty copper. Very minerallike, big funky, fruity flavors, apricots, hay, distant woodglue, woody, spices, fresh coriander and hint of cinnamon. Strong sour and medium salty minerallike taste. Spiciness in the finish, very nice.

Bottle shared at home. Clear orange/golden/light brown with no head just a few bubbles. Lots of funk and barnyard notes, sour gooseberries, peach, red berries, light rubber touch, lemon. Over medium sour and a hint of sweetness. Medium bodied with no carbonation. More funky than fruity.
