A light bodied, crisp and flavorful dark ale with hints of semi-sweet chocolate and soft nuances of fresh coffee. This beer is counter intuitive in the way that it pours dark as night but tastes like a lighter beer encompassing a range of full flavor.

can - Pours dark brown with a tan head. It smells of roast malt and coffee. The flavor is similar. I found it on the light side for a porter. What's there is decent but I'd like it to pack a little more oomph flavor-wise.

Can. Pours dark brown with reddish tint, large spongy beige head, caramel/toffee aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter coffee taste, thin body, longish medium bitter finish. Quite smooth and enjoyable, but a bit thin.

Can. Dark chocolate malt, ash, and dry hay aroma. Black with large tan head. Moderately sweet dark chocolate malt and moderately bitter dry hay/ash flavor. Nice body. Very good.

Can: Black, with a small tan head. Light cocoa, vanilla, coffee scent. Taste is mild....but solid coffee/chocolate malts...roast, sweet milk. Quite tasty. Though it feels light, it drinks with a lot of flavour and richness.

Can sampled @ Hopishop #3. Black, little mocha head. Nose is sweetish bland low roasted malts & some mocha, low umami, overall quite boring & neutral. Taste is rather bland & boring, low herbal, touch plastic, sugar, roasted malts. Boring herbal body. Very bland, nondeScript, boring & tad flavorless. Meh. DeScription says not a lager, okay but it isn’t interesting either. Nothing wrong with it but it is just barely there.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no canning date. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke, herbal, grass, light dark fruit, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roast/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke, herbal, grass, light dark fruit, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness as well. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice dry stout style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
