This black ale poured a deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Minimal lacing. Scents include roasted malt, light coffee and brown sugar. First swig was nice and roasty. Flavours of coffee, light caramel and a little nutty flavour most prominent. Finish is roasty, with light coffee flavours, and roasted malt flavour lingering.

Draft at Craft Breww City. Pours a deep brown to black with a bit of small tan head that lingers. Aromas of toffee and vanilla with a touch of dark fruit as it warms. Balanced, but leans a bit sweet on the finish. Dates and coffee.

Looking forward to this can I got from the market district. Beautiful black porter pour. Nice tan head. Smells a little like a choco malt. First impression of course is dark roasted beer. Burnt like the wood of an old damp campfire from last night, caught in the rain it was. Yes, dark but nit too in yer face, borders on the taste between a sweet stout and a stout. Burn wood effects clear tot he finish.

Frothy tan head out of the can. Deep brown color. Toasty malt most fitting a standard porter. Taste is roasty, with a bit of treacle to it. Equally sweet to a bit of hop dryness. Light coffee and just a bit of ale fruitiness around the edge. Finish is nice and mellow, more a light stout than a porter. But overall very pleasant.

Very dark with an off-white head. Lightly roasted malts with plenty of sweet chocolate to round that out. A hint of dry coffee grounds, too. Finish has plenty of sweetness and a little bitterness from the coffee notes. Thin bodied. An enjoyable and very accessible porter.
