Draught @ St. Urho’s Portteri- ja Stoutpäivät 2014
Aroma has dark cocoa, some coffee and dark chocolate. Also hints of somewhat salty licorice. Flavour is a bit odd with slightly salty licorice, some dark chocolate and cold coffee. Deep rubbery roastiness in the finish with herbal notes. Too bitter in a harsh way and too burnt.

(Keg, 9 % ABV, at St. Urho’s Pub Portteri- ja Stout-päivät ’14) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, smoke and liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, smoke, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. A decent but a too burnt brew.

Draught @ St. Urho’s Pub, Helsinki (Portteripäivät 2014)
Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and hops. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and mildly ripe fruity with notes of dark chocolate, cocoa and vanilla. FInish is smooth, grainy and slightly roasty with hints of sweet ripe fruits, bitter hops, dark chocolate and cocoa. Quite smooth and complex, yet full bodied and balanced. Like a fruity dark chocolate in a liquid form.
