On tap at Forst, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a large white head. Aroma is restrained, with some light spicy hopping, biscuity malt, and straw. Flavour is dry and crisp, but not particularly flavourful, with straw, moderate bitterness, and a crisp finish. Clean and drinkable but not interesting.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and strawy, pale malty as well as bitter, herbal-grassy and minimally fruity hoppy, minimally yeasty fruity aroma, notes of straw, a touch of nettle and yellow stone fruit. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, minimally strawy, pale malty, yeasty fruity and mildly bitter, slightly fruity hoppy, hints of yellow stone fruit, a touch of mandarine, some protein; apricot finish. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Some nice dirty flavours due to non-filtration - decent.

0.33 l bottle from 'Gastrodrink', best before November 2023. Hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently floral and a little grassy aroma of grains, some hay and light lemon peel. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly floral and a little grassy taste of grains, straw and light lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry, minimally musty finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid lager, not much different compared to the unfiltered ones, just a tad more full-bodied, a bit smoother as well.

Pours light golden, quite hazy for the style and slightly translucent. A couple of fingers of relatively dense foam, showing good enough retention and lacing. Not much intensity in the aroma, with a delicate cereal/hay base followed by sweetish hints of honey, chamomille and a lemonish touch. Taste notes follow the aroma quite closely, with a well rounded hay, slightly crackery base and delicate notes of honey, chamomille and lemon. Clean and a bit more vivid than in the aroma but still quite mild; overall slightly on the sweet edge for the style. Quite light in body with light to medium, delicate carbonation; classic german lager mouthfeel. Lacks a bit in character but overall enjoyable.

Bottiglia: Pale golden, hazy, medium-sized white head, moderate bitter-sweet fruity-malty nose with distinctive herbal hops underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, soft and light bodied; lingering bitter-sweet fruity, malty and herbal-hoppy finish. Überraschung! A pretty decent Bier aus Südtirol…
