330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal-spicy, floral and mildly funky aroma, notes of pine needles, Calvados, a minimally soapy touch of bath salt, lavender, juniper, earthy fruity undertones with an apricot touch. Taste is mildly tart, minimally sweet fruity, floral and herbal spicy, hints of baked apple, dried apricot, a touch of pine needles, lavender, juniper, Calvados, minimally dry, woody overtones, a minimally salty touch; slightly dry, woody finish. Slightly putty-like texture, smooth and soft palate, soft carbonation. Quite unique composition.

33cl. Smooth fresh sourish beginning. Nice woody fruity calvados parts, funky with a grainy fruitiness. Long funky woody fruity dry sourish aftertaste. Nice with hints of apples and wood. Nice dry herbs on the tongue.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle, best before July 2021. Almost clear, amber with a white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, slightly resiny and slightly spicy aroma of citrus, some pine and maybe a touch of coriander. Gently sweet, slightly bitter, rather fruity, slightly resiny and a bit herbal-spicy taste of lemon peel, pineapple, juniper, some coriander and a touch of calvados, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, minimally boozy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very nice!

Holziger Beginn, der dann kurz abflacht - das gelagerte Bier ist ja auch ein Pale Ale. Kräutrig, runde und erstaunlich klare Noten von Wacholder und Koriander, kurz spritig, trocken herb. Eher kurzer Abgang. 10/11/12/12/10/11

0,33 l bottle from Heimathaven, Oldenburg. Unclear orange copper in the glass with a smallest fast fading head. Smells fruity, some orange an herbs with barrelwood. Taste starts also orange fruity, coriander, little bit pepper, spicy brett, barrel wood in the background. Increasing dry bitterness in the aftertaste. No real carbonation. Very nice balanced stuff.
