The White Hag in Ballymote, Sligo, Ireland 🇮🇪

Lager - Märzen / Festbier Regular
Score
6.25
ABV: 5.4% IBU: 25 Ticks: 4
A classic German-style lager, similar to types of beers served at Oktoberfest in Munich every year. Pours a deep amber with a lush white head. Warm toasty malt and lush caramel are accentuated by the velvety mouthfeel, medium body and crisp balanced finish.

330ml bottle at home. Pours a lovely light brown with red hues, medium off white head that dissipates quickly, a little more carbonated than I’d like, the style is known for being easy to drink. First impression of the flavour is overly sweet, brown sugar and bready biscuit, leaves a cloying finish.

Bottle. Clear Amber with a thin head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavour is heavy sticky sweet malt, toffee and a little spice. Way too sweet for me.
