Born from the experimental nature of Birra del Borgo, it is a beer with a very high percentage of Tartaric Buckwheat. The buckwheat is malted by a small malt house and cut with barley and “Grano Senatore Cappelli”. La Saracena is brewed to exploit the nutritional value and the characteristic aroma of this interesting plant. With a golden color and slightly hazed, it has a good clear and compact foam. It releases pleasant scents of corn and yeast, with an explosion of herbaceous recalls, showing an impressive freshness and drinkability.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dallo speziato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale, permanendo in maniera sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza velata e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è contenuto e c'è anche una componente moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Sul tetto della bocca si fermano caratteristiche di miele, cereali, resina, spezie, agrumi e pompelmo.

33cl Fles van Carrefour Porlezza. 3.5% ABV, Saison con grano saraceno. Mistig lichtgouden kleur, witte kraag. Volle bak Sorachi Ace, vanille, eik, licht bloemig, wat hooi, fris, citrus, licht bitter. Lichte body, maar nergens dun. Hele fijne 3.5% Saison.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Cloudy pale yellow. Yeast, spiciness, graininess, quite dry, a bit citric, bitterish finish.

330ml bottle from Beru Vykhodnoy in Moscow. Pours hazy gold with a tall white head. Aroma is buckwheat, dill, some other herbs that I can’t identify. Taste is slightly sour, herbal, watery. Light bodied. Ok. Quite unusual.

0,33 bottle, grazie daniele...@home. Yellowish hazy pour with a medium-low foam white foam. Nose: bergamot, citrus skin, chamomille and much geranium. Mouth: full character for a 3,1% beer, spicy, zesty with a firm mint mouthfeel. The finish is a bit tart and matches well the overall.
