With the first signs of spring, the team of Glarus “Signature”, in collaboration with our Greek friends from Tuvunu and Vergina Beers, has prepared a unique take on the
ubiquitous lager beer – one brewed with the Sideritis plant, which could be found at high altitude in the Rhodopi mountains (the Rhodopes) where Bulgaria and Greece meet. Collected by hand, it is brewed in the kettle and imparts a distinct character of mountain herbs and lemon. The final product is the result of primary fermentation with the help of German bottom-fermenting yeast, followed by a long period of cold lagering.

Bottle shared in Sofia - picked up in town. Gusher! Pours clear gold with floatie bits and a frothy white head. Tastes a bit like ginger ale. Has some grassy notes, lemon. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Some damp lemongrass in the finish. A little odd but so so.

500ml bottle. Pours hazy gold with a tall white head. Aroma is herbs, honey, yeast. Taste is strange... a little sour and malty, heavily carbonated. Seems to be infected. Shame.
