500ml in a stylish bottle kindly shared by Stig. Clear warm golden body, filmy layer, spotty lacing. Honeyed sweet aroma with noticeable alcohol. Blended taste of apricot and syrup. Sweet fruity ending with warmth from the alcohol. Fine bodied. Okay in smaller amounts, gets very sweet in the long run. (Shared with TheCellarer, Isak and Stig, Breiviklia, Tromsø 24.11.2017).

At a tasting, smallish creamy head, clear deepish gold color, aroma of jam and paper, flavor of jam, metal and overipe fruit, unpleasant sourness. Really bad.

Bottle shared at a tasting at troubles’s place. Clear golden. Aroma of malt, graininess, a bit of paper, a bit of alcohol. Flavor has sweet malt, a bit of honey, a bit of caramel, graininess, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Somewhere between a strong Heller Bock and an Eastern European Strong Lager.

Bottled 500ml. -Clear golden coloured, small white head, alcohol and caramel in the nose. Heavy sweet malty, popcorn, caramel, noticable alcohol and some herbs with sweet alcoholic finish. Maybe notes of corn syrup. Not so good.

Some supermarket: pours golden with almost no head. Aroma is sugary and boozy. Taste is sweet and boozy. Not badly boozy though. Not great.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear amber, nice creamy ivory head. Aroma has some nice herbal hops upfront, along with some caramel malts that blend together well. No alcohol at first, but it raises its ugly head with the temperature. The taste starts with moderate malt sweetness and herbal hops with a slight medicinal edge to it. The alcohol is kind of hidden, but not well enough. Smooth mouth-feel, with a light hoppy and alcoholic bitterness in the finish. At least, if you drink it cold enough - it’s half way between a heller bock and strong lager.

Clear golden, moderate dense head. Stays. Well lacing. The aroma is malty (caramel, candy) with a hint of spicy yeast. Medium to full body, creamy texture. Sweet rich malty taste with notes of candy, Sherry. Almost a Belgian ale corny feel. Light bitterness from hop & alco growing to notable amount on ending. Hoppy aftertaste. This is quite respectable. Anyway not a Doppelbock at all.
