Bottle shared in NH. Pours brown, clear, with a small, foamy tan head. Tart, lightly sweet, nice dark berries, very slight roast, sturdy acidity. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Quenching finish, clean, some leather, more dark berries. Solid.

750 ml corked and crowned bottle from Joe Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Barely translucent dark brown color. Earthy, yeasty dark fruit aroma hints at black cherry and plums. Flavor is bigly sour. Notes of vinegar, port wine, dark berries, sour apple and pomelo fruit. Intense.

Bottle at share courtesy of Chris: pours dark brown with no head. Aroma is pickles, berries, vinegar, some wood. Taste is really sour, super vinegary. Light dark ale sort of thing. Not great.

Bottle, at bottle share, thanks to Chris. Pours black. Toast, chocolate, cherry, white wine vinegar, very sharp, something . Medium body. Not great.
Smells like an Italian sandwich, nice sweet funky elderberries and aronia upfront.
