DESCRIPTION

Finzels is a collaboration with Left Handed Giant.

It’s a soft, juicy NEIPA, that’s been liberally hopped with El Dorado and Idaho 7.

Fermented with mango, apricot and peach puree, before being blended with a signature Gipsy Hill sour base beer and topped off with milk sugar to bind together all the flavours.

It’s big bodied, fruity, slightly sour, low bitterness, hop forward and 7.5%. A adult sorbet in a glass.

Goes well with nights in, nights out, and big pizza.

Featuring Heather, the force that makes LHG tick (B&J make it tock).

Draft. An unclear dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of fruits, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, citrus fruits, malt, and barnyard, leading to a dry finish.

Short-lived small white head over fully muddy orange-yellow beer, lively carbonated. Lemon, lactic acid, short whiff of fresh leafy hops, rainwater. Lactose is also detectable, with some undefined fruity esters. Strange flavour with some kernel spices, other grains, bread, rather unsweet fruity breadspread (peach?), and very mild fruity acidity. Again lactose, making slightly soft drink-like. Finish & aftertaste are exactly what the label says: a faintly (hop)bitterish fruitmash. Medium bodied if mainly fruit-filled. Initial lively carbonation slackens, but it remains refreshing. Yet another Gipsy Hill brew that, if in anything, excels in ballance. Very pleasing craftbrew!

Keg at the Old Fountain, 10/02/20. Hazed orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is tangy citric zest, pine dusting, light weed, ripe mango flesh. Taste comprises more tarte citric flavours, green berry tang, bitter orange, damp straw, raw pineapple. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with light juicy hop bitterness tempered with a bitter citric wash up. Decent sour IPA.
