At GBF. Lacing, snow white, moussy head, deep pure golden colour. Aroma has lemon zest, bread crumbs, apple peel, sourdough; light fruitiness in the onset, a tad appleish, medium carbonated and not as fizzy as usual for a pale lager, pleasantly lightly bready middle, grassy and herbal (almost dill-like) hop bitterishness in the finish, aromatic but not overwhelmingly so; a kind of present day ’boutique’ craft Pilsener, quite refined and in any case way better than its industrial counterparts, but I need a double IPA from this brewery, too bad that option wasn’t available.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled 500 ml. bottle @ Gents Bierfestival 2016. Hazy lemon citrus. Nose is interesting milky in a good way, flowers, sweet white bread, hay,… Taste is low green grass, lightly bitter blends pleasantly with good milky qualities, lemon, white bread, zest, sweet flowers, raw dough. Creamy, milky. Quite interesting, good, pleasant to drink.

Clear bright yellow beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty floral, fruity, lovely smell, peaches. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit soapy, floral, somewhat sweet. Aftertaste: bit funky, soft bitterness, weird finish, bit spicy.

On tap at Nettle & Rye, Bristol 16/8/2016. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. Aroma of citrus fruits, hay and some leafy hops. Flavour had more fruit, crisp malts, and a touch of sweetness leading to a pleasantly bitter finish. Good drinking on a hot day.

Bottle. Cotteridge. As Cloudwater Spring Summer 2016 - Pioneer Lager. Thought I’d added this and rated it already. Anyroad, it’s clear, bright gold. Thin, sticky, lasting, white head. Nose has lightly perfumed, syrupy malts. Notes of dried grass. Hint of baked apple. Taste is sweet, and sugary. Some crisp, grassy bitterness. Palate is a bit flabby. Bit of stickiness on the lips. Grassy, grainy finish. Ok. A bit sweet, overall.

Bottle at home, 17/07/16. Clear golden with a well appointed white head of tightly knit bubbles. Nose is sweet malts, toasted grain, fresh grass, light citric jelly, bread dough. Taste comprises bready malts, grain, light cereal, faint orange, toasted sugar, candy floss, vanilla, soft bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for style but overly sweet for me ... didn’t get much refreshment factor from this on a hit day.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with tiny yeast flecks floating beneath a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of herbs and grass. Flavour follows the aroma and has a crisp bitter finish. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Clean and herbal - very nice.
