Slaapmutske Flemish Old Style Sour Kriek is a top-fermented traditional ‘old style red-brown’ Kriek of 5% ABV. This beer is the result of traditional yeast fermentation, fermentation with Brettanomyces and blending with pure sour cherry (Kriek) juice. This results in a uncoloured pure red-brown Kriekbier, with an original and refreshing sour touch. There is also a touch of wood in the aftertaste coming from the wood infusion during the lagering.

Bottled. Rubyish brown colour with a foamy pink head, which leaves lace. Aroma is cherries, some tart wood, citric acidity and mild sour berries too. Flavour is quite acidic and funky with some berries and mild toffee tones.

330ml bottle from Taylors Gluten Free Network. Gluten Free. Red brown colour, creamy pinkish foamy head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of cherry, sour, citric. Taste is tart, sour, cherry, fruity, lemon rind, with some pale malt and funky bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity sour finish. Nicely drinkable.
