I’ve been meaning to try this Coffee Gose from Russel Brewing for awhile and bring in the need of a caffeine pick me up I figured now was the time! Pale matte straw gold with thin bright white fizzy foam that vanished in a blink. The aroma is a tart, salty coffee. Medium bodied, this beer is very tart and while the coffee comes through clearly it comes across as sort of briney. A strange beer that almost, but not quite, worked.

This was a total waste of time. The tartness of the gose does not coordinate with the coffee at all

Russel - Coffee and light soured salt. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Soured light coffee and a briny finish. Solid.

Pale and hazy, thin head, tart, wheaty, light coffee accent. They found a way to make this concept work.

On tap at Hopwired, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle coffee and yogurty lacto. Flavour is awkward, with yogurty lacto and earthy coffee. I'm not sure how cohesive this is - strange combo of coffee and yogurty. Not really a fan.
