Dark Malt and American hops unite to bring a new age of bitterness. Pithy grapefruit and resin combine with a dark chocolate and roasty coffee hit to deliver a resonating bitterness that goes beyond IBUs.

Can from BrewDog Soho. It pours black with rugged tan head. The aroma is fresh, big pine action, roasted malt, chocolate, bit of grapefruit and a touch of orange sherbet in the background. The taste is big bitter bite upfront, burnt pine, resin, dark chocolate, tobacco, toasted grass. earth, hint of citrus and rich coffee with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Works very well and keeps me coming back for more. Great stuff.

Schooner in Doghouse. Dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma is pine with a little chocolate malt. Taste is similar, and weirdly I’m getting more malt in the finish than anything else

Keg at the brewdog shoreditch. A mahogany brown coloured pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is big smoked piney hop, citrus, faint roasted barley. Dry roasted grains on the nose. Flavour is composed of roast malts, dry roasted pine needle, citrus. Aggressive hop bitterness, bit pretty clean. Palate is dry, resinous hop, spritzy carbonation. Solid black IPA.
