Bottle from Carrefour. Hazy golden, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of breadcrust, hard cheese, herbs, apple peel, yeast, dried beeswax, wheat. Taste has sweetish apple, banana & bread, quite yeasty, grainy with a lemony-wheaty undertone. Bitter & grainy finish, grassy hops, ongoing esters & herbal accent. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Typical Belgian Ale with a twist though.

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Medium sweet malty, some fruity hints with a herbal and grassy aftertaste. Maybe a very little bit watery but not bad at all.

Riktigt gott.

Strong Belgian blonde by Belgoo, steinie bottle from Streekproductencentrum Halle. Thick and pillowy, egg-white, large-bubbled head lacing in shreds over a misty, warm, lightly peach-golden beer with lively strings of sparkling. Aroma of soggy white bread, dried wormwood leaves, old dry lemon zest, green apple, moist white pepper, raw turnip, sweet potato, gin, herborized lemonbalm. Fruity, crisp onset, banana peel and unripe pear, restrained in sweetness with a sourish touch and lively, fizzy carbonation; ‘bread pulp’ maltiness, vaguely sweetish with ongoing fruity accents and mild spicy-phenolic notes leading to a long, dry and hoppy finish, peppery and wormwood, a bit tonic water-like even and lingering longer than expected, highlighted by some ‘jenever’-like alcohol. A well-constructed, technically flawless, dry and above average hoppy ‘edelbier’, nothing extraordinary conceptually speaking but pleasant enough on its own.
