Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Wednesday 1st March 2023 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music, we had a vegetarian curry with rice. This is the 2022 version and 9.7%. Pours dark brown, lively pour, tan head, super soft mouthfeel, creamy, light woodiness actually there is a very slight reddy glint. Pleasant, in fact very decent.

Bottle. Rather clear amber color with white head. Aroma is wood, sweet caramel. Taste is the same, almost watery in the back, cheap muckefuck. Oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Less sweet than expected, but meh.

Holziger, alkoholisch malziger Beginn. Etwas Vanille, geringfügig herb, helles Holz, süßlich. Süffig, auch wenn der Alkohol gelegentlich stört. Mittellanger Abgang. 10/9/9/9/9/9

330ml bottle [#1040/2000]. Cloudy, reddish-brown colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly nutty, caramel malty and minimally woody aroma, a tannic touch of oak. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, dry woody, notes of oak, hints of Bourbon, vanilla, a touch of dried fruit, raisin; well hidden alcohol. Rather light body, watery, minimally oily texture, fine, prickly carbonation. Explicit BA notes, but overall not overly impressive if not even relatively anaemic. Meh.
