Bottle split at LKS, thanks to Lando himself .. much work gushing and opening, 21/01/16. Murky dark mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is spice, raisens, dark malt, spice, earthy, toffee, cocoa powder, light must. Taste comprises tangy dark fruit shreds, light mineral strokes, earthy, toffee, light spice, rich malt loaf. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Alvinne back in 2011. Massive gusher - you got me again, Alvinne. Pours deep brown with lots of sediment and a creamy beige head. The nose has some old leather, hints of cocoa, burnt wood, dried tangy dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor with bittersweet cocoa, scorched earth, wood, old leathery berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish, moderately roasty, more bitter chocolate, earth, dried fruits. Not bad.

4+ year bottle care of LKS. Massive big dirty gusher! It pours jet black with a massive tan head. Loads of floaters......The nose is rich, bitter - sweet, jammy fruits, fruit compote, creamy chocolate, light spice and toast. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roast, creamy plenty of dark fruit, Dandelion & Burdock, fruit cake, toasty and fruit compote with a smooth finish. Medium - full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Looks a bit filthy, but it tastes quite fruity and mellow.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Mild gusher. Huge, complex nose, bit acetic, berries, choclate, yogurt. Definitely not clen yeast only in this one. Some roasted malts and cofee. Pitch black, effervescent, medium, fne, tan head. Very tart and als roasted, wood, coffee, dark chocolate, grpaefruit, horse blanket. Bitter, funky finsh wit charcoql, bitter hos, bitter brett. Brett all ov ths one, tho less lactic in flavor and not acetic. Still a bit lactic, creamy. Crazy stuff. Vy fun. Not quite great, but pretty good.

Three year old bottle at home. A real gusher. Has a dark brown to black color with a small light brown head. Aroma of oak, vinegar, roasted malt, rye bread, wet basement and some coffee. A bit odd and unbalanced. The flavor is also strange with more basement that fades into roasted malt, ash and some alcohol. A little better but still unbalanced. Has a silky mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. I guess this beer is better on another occasion but the gushing are affecting my experience.

From a 330ml bottle on 1/8/2015. Pours a deep brown with not much of a head. Has a chocolatey aroma with a touch of red wine in the mix. There’s more chocolate and wine in the flavour, a little soy, roasted malt, and a moderate spicy bitterness. The palate in thin for an impy and the carbonation soft. Definitely does not present as 10%. Reasonably drinkable but pretty forgettable as far as impys go.
