Huge yellowish head over hazy amberish-orange beer, well carbonated. Intensely fruity hops, with aromas of exotic fruit and citrus; bit of ureum and an aroma reminding me of horse chestnut’ husks. Wry-bitter (thinking of the chestnut husks again!), very hopoily and a finish that gets really a dry-out effect. Tannines, hopoil galore. Feels well-carbonated, but an oily texture despite this. Medium bodied. A tad too extreme, really, lacking balance, and a bitterness that starts to mimick harde lambiek effects is an eyebrowfrowner.

Bottle from Barley Wine, CPH - Fuzzy orange with a persistent off-white head. Strong caramel malts and citrus hops, pine, herbal nuances and a slight bite/spice to it. Lovely.

Clear dark orange beer, big creamy off-white to yellow head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, lots of passion fruits, sweet ripe mango, bit piny. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, passion fruits, pineapple, lots of citrus fruits, bit sour, nice bitter hops. Aftertaste: fruity, citrus, bit piny, resinous, passion fruit, sweet mango, little soapy, resinous bitterness, nice and hoppy beer, I love it.

750ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, long lasting, off-white head. Intense hoppy aroma has fruity notes of grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, orange, mandarine, a touch of pine and resin. Taste is initially dry hoppy, minimally sweet caramel malty with hints of orange and mandarine, later more bitter hoppy with herbal notes and a piney touch, hints of chalk; prickling carbonation, some sticky caramel malt sweetness remains on the lips.

Bottle from Vinspecialisten, Aalborg. Hazy orange with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity and ligt spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 140913

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, bitter grapefruit, orange, grass. Taste comprises orange sherbet, caramel malts, bitter grapefruit, light pine, hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Solid IPA.

ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Light haze on this amber beer. Good pale cream coloured head. Light and softish palate, with mild carbonation. Light floral sweetness. Lime led tropical fruits. Really nice hops fruits. Light semi dry finish.
